Go
Project
The film GO features several subplots about a group of twenty-somethings in Los Angeles. Whether it is a drug deal gone bad, or a wild trip to Las Vegas, GO is a wild ride of a film.
As with many ensemble movies, the problem is how to show a group of people on the poster in an interesting way.
For this design, I separated the characters and put them in a overly stylized image, keeping with the tone of the film.
It starts with a unit shot of Sarah Polley, fishing for her keys in a puddle. I added each actor and the car from different photos. The sky and city are stock photos. I skewed the colors blue and blurred the image in strategic areas, along with border creases.
This poster concept was not chosen and the image here is the final comp version I did in Adobe Photoshop.
